Some race days are filled with cautions, strategy calls, and last-lap excitement. Others are quiet, smooth, and provide some of the best learning opportunities of the season.
Our May 30th race at Waterford Speedbowl was one of those days.
The feature went green from start to finish, giving Anthony an extended run to focus on consistency and really feel what the car was doing throughout the race. Without interruptions, he was able to identify several adjustments he'd like to make moving forward and gained valuable insight that will help us continue improving the #18.
While the day moved quickly, it was another reminder of how fortunate we are to have such a great group of people around our team.
As always, we appreciated the support and guidance from our racing family, including Eric Bourgeois, who continues to be an incredible resource and friend to our team every week. Having experienced racers willing to share their knowledge has made a tremendous difference in Anthony's development.
We were also happy to have the Baral family at the track. It was great spending time with Jeff Baral, whose own racing background in SK Modifieds at Stafford Speedway made for some fun conversations throughout the day.
Not every race weekend is measured by where you finish. Sometimes the biggest wins come from the lessons learned, the people you spend time with, and leaving the track with a better understanding of how to improve for next week.
May 30th was one of those weekends.
