Tough Nights Build Tougher Teams – Blast Off Weekend 2026

Blast Off Weekend on May 2, 2026, didn’t end the way we hoped.

During the SK Light feature at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, Anthony had nowhere to go after cars stacked up in front of him. With little time to react, the #18 made contact and then took a heavy hit from behind in the hardest crash we’ve experienced as a team.

Racing can change in an instant. Sometimes there’s simply nowhere to go.

But if there was one thing that stood out more than the crash itself, it was the people around us afterward.

From fellow competitors and crews to track staff, so many people immediately came over asking if Anthony was okay. As a racing family, those moments matter. The concern, support, and respect shown in the pits reminded us what the racing community is really about.

We’re incredibly thankful Anthony walked away from a hard hit, and we’re equally grateful for everyone who checked in on him and our team throughout the night.

The car took a beating, but Raccio Racing SKL#18 isn’t built to quit.

We’ll regroup in the garage, put in the work, and come back stronger.

That’s racing. That’s family. That’s what this team is about.
