A Winner Before He Bought His Wristband

Anthony was already a winner Saturday—before he even bought his wristband.

His spotter, Dylan, surprised him with a checkered flag to commemorate his first career feature win last month. It was an incredibly thoughtful gift from someone who has been an important part of Anthony’s season.

Dylan has been awesome all year. Spotting requires trust, and his clear, calm communication helps Anthony stay safe and make good decisions on the track. We are very grateful to have him on the radio and on our team.

We also love having a whole crew at the track. The food, laughter, and shenanigans throughout the day add so much to the excitement of racing. The people beside us are a big part of what makes race day special.

Anthony ran well in practice and continued making changes to the car after each session—and even before the feature. One of the most encouraging parts of this season has been watching him learn how to make the car do what he wants it to do.

He is often caught between asking for help and wanting to try his own ideas. That is part of growing as a driver. He continues to make his own adjustments and has become increasingly specific when describing what the car is—and isn’t—doing.

The feature had 18 cars. Anthony started 13th and finished 14th. Although it wasn’t his strongest finish, the value of learning what happens when you make a change cannot always be measured by the final position. That knowledge, confidence, and ability are growing every week.

We continue to be incredibly proud of him—not only for the driver he is becoming, but for the way he continues to learn, experiment, and take ownership of his race car.

Only two races remain in our 2026 season: September 19 and October 4. If you haven’t made it out to the track yet, we hope you’ll come visit us and cheer on the No. 18!
