🔧 First Trip to Tech, 🚦 First Pole Start – Rookie Milestones!

This week’s race looked a little different for us — Mom couldn’t be there, but Big Brother Joe flew in from DC ✈️ to take over as our official GoPro crew chief. He handled all the cameras like a pro 🎥👏, while Dad picked up the recording duties. Teamwork at its finest! 💪👨‍👦

The heat race was a real nail biter. Several drivers didn’t make it to the finish, but Anthony did. Not only did he finish, he came in 2nd place 🥈 which earned him his very first trip through tech inspection 🔧 — and it also landed him pole position 🚦 for the feature.

All season long we’ve been moving Anthony to the end of qualifying or the back of the pack to help build his confidence. This week, for the first time, he kept his pole start — and seeing him line up first was beyond what we imagined for year one 🤩. And while he did get freight-trained 🚂 back through the field, he held his own, drove clean ✨, and kept that confidence steady.

Like any racer, Anthony came out of the car thinking he could’ve done better 🤔. But as a family, we’re reminding him that in his rookie year 🏁, starting pole and finishing clean is an accomplishment worth celebrating 🎉. He’s growing every week, and we couldn’t be prouder ❤️.
